He missed the cut at last week's Masters.
Rory McIlroy has withdrawn from this week's RBC Heritage event on the PGA Tour.
The four-time major winner missed the cut at last week's Masters, after rounds of 72 and 77 left him on five-over-par.
It's the second time this season McIlroy has missed a designated PGA Tour event, having also sat out the Tournament of Champions in January.
