It follows reports of match fixing which were sent to the FAI and UEFA.
Ten men have been arrested by Gardai following an investigation into alleged match fixing in the League of Ireland.
The individuals, aged from their early 20's to their 60's were arrested by the anti bribery and corruption unit from the Southern and Dublin Metropolitan Regions of the Gardai.
The men have been arrested on suspicion of Conspiracy to Defraud and have been detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
It follows reports of match fixing which were sent to the FAI and UEFA.
The FAI say they remain committed to a zero tolerance policy on match fixing, but will making no further comment as it's a legal matter.
