Victory For The Kildare Hurlers & Footballers On Saturday.

Both sides got their respective Allianz National League campaigns off to a winning start.

The hurlers registered a comprehensive 4-29 to 0-14 win over Donegal in St Conleth's Park on Saturday afternoon.

They now sit 2nd in the Division 2B table, behind leaders Mayo, with a game in hand.

Manager David Herity spoke to Kfm's Pat Costello after the game.

Next up for the hurlers is a game against Derry in Manguard Plus Hawkfield this coming Sunday at 4pm.

Meanwhile, the footballers recorded an impressive 2-12 to 0-14 victory against Cork in Semple Stadium.

Celbridge's Kevin Flynn and Ballyteague's Jimmy Hyland netted the all important goals.

Kfm commentator Ger McNally spoke with manager Jack O'Connor after the game as he reflected on his side's performance.

Kildare will next play Clare in St Conleth's Park on Sunday afternoon.
