SOCCER

Tottenham moved a step closer to automatic qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League with a 2-nil victory at home to 10-man Borussia Dortmund.

Arsenal got past Inter Milan 3-1 to reach the last-16.

But Manchester City suffered a shock defeat by the same score away to Bodo/Glimt of Norway.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has hinted Mohamed Salah will start tonight's tie away to Marseille.

Elsewhere, Chelsea continue their quest for a top eight finish at home to Pafos, while Newcastle host PSV Eindhoven.

 

RUGBY

Mack Hansen looks set to miss the rest of the season due to the foot injury he suffered in November.

Connacht head coach Stuart Lancaster admits the Ireland winger will "struggle" to get back on the pitch before the end of the campaign.

Hansen opted to have surgery on the issue last month and he won't be part of the Ireland squad named by Andy Farrell ahead of the Six Nations this afternoon.

Ryan Baird, Paddy McCarthy, Andrew Porter are all likely to miss the first couple of rounds of the tournament thought injury.

 

TENNIS

Carlos Alcaraz has booked his place in the third-round of the Australian Open.

The men's world number's bid to complete the career Grand Slam continued with a straight sets win over Yannick Hanfmann this morning.

11th seed Daniil Medvedev won in four sets against Quentin Halys. 

Coco Gauff saw off Olga Danilovic 6-2 6-2, but Emma Radacanu was shocked by Anastasia Potapova.

 

DARTS

Luke Littler gave himself a nice birthday present by beating Michael van Gerwen 8-5 to win the inaugural Saudi Arabia Masters.

The two-time darts world champion is 19 today and his celebrations began at Riyadh's Global Theater before heading off for a Dubai break.

He hit six 180s, but missed out on the 100-thousand dollars prize on offer for a nine-dart leg.
