World champ's existing deal lasts until the end of the season.
Mercedes F1 boss Toto Wolff says he expects Lewis Hamilton to sign a new contract for at least two more years.
Britain's seven time world champion has a deal which lasts until the end of the season.
Wolff's told the Press Association that he needs to find time with Hamilton and then "lock the door" until it's sorted.
He also thinks the driver - who's 36 - can stay in the sport into his 40s.
