New travel laws being introduced to curb spread of Covid-19
Australian citizens living overseas could be banned from returning home under strict new travel laws, being introduced today.
Previously they have been allowed to come and go freely, but now will need to apply for an exemption to leave the country.
The Australian Government hopes the measure will stop the spread of Covid-19, but campaigners say these new rules will separate families and prevent Australians from returning.
