The President of the United States has warned there's a danger Russia may resort to more severe tactics, like the use of chemical weapons, in Ukraine
Joe Biden says Vladimir Putin has his "back against the wall" due to the strong resistance from Ukrainian forces.
Elsewhere, the Ukrainian President has suggested his nation commits not to join NATO - only if Russia pulls back its troops and agrees to a ceasefire.
Speaking through a translator, Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he's prepared to discuss the issue, but any deal would be put to a referendum:
