May 2020, when lockdown restrictions were in place in England
The British Prime Minister is facing calls to explain a leaked email inviting Downing Street staff to a "bring your own booze" gathering in May 2020, at a time when lockdown restrictions were in place in England, due to Covid-19.
An email invite was believed to have been sent to 100 members of staff.
It's understood 40 people attended the event in the Number 10 garden, including Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie.
Boris Johnson is being urged by Labour, the Scottish National Party and Liberal Democrat MPs to resign.
Former Labour leader Ed Miliband says Mr Johnson cannot claim to be ignorant of the rules:
The British government is not commenting - citing an ongoing investigation.
British Police say they are in touch with the Cabinet Office about the event.
