Former US President banned from social media site shortly after riot at US Capitol in January 2021

Elon Musk says he will reverse Twitter's ban of former US President Donald Trump, if his takeover bid is successful.

The former US President was banned from the platform shortly after the riot at the US Capitol in January 2021.

The Tesla owner was speaking at the Financial Times Future of the Car summit.

Musk - who bought Twitter on the 2th of April for $44 billion - wants to make permanent account suspensions on the platform a "rare thing":
