Fears grow regarding spread of B.1.617.2 variant
France is tightening its borders with Britain as fears grow around the spread of the B.1.617.2 variant of Covid-19, originally detected in India.
From today, those travelling from the UK will have to give a "compelling reason" for entering the country.
EU nationals, French residents, and those travelling for essential purposes, still need to test negative for the virus before they arrive, and to then quarantine for 7 days.
