Olympics due to begin on 23rd July
The Tokyo Olympics will be held without spectators.
Organisers of the games have agreed it will take place behind closed doors after convening this afternoon.
The confirmation follows the declaration of a state of emergency in Tokyo, two weeks before the Olympics are due to begin.
The measure has been implemented due to Covid-19 cases in the city hitting a two-month high.
The Japanese Prime Minister, Yoshihide Suga, told reporters it would remain in place until 22nd August.

The opening ceremony of the Games is scheduled for the 23rd of July & due to close on 8th August.
