The office of New York's Attorney General has launched a criminal investigation into former US President, Donald Trump's business empire.
A spokesman for AG Letitia James, says the inquiry into Mr Trump's property company is "no longer purely civil":

Trump denies any wrongdoing, and says the inquiry by a Democratic prosecutor is a political vendetta.
The Manhattan District Attorney's office began a civil investigation into the Trump organisation in 2019.
