A man in Vietnam has been sentenced to 5 years in jail for spreading Covid-19.
The 28 year-old was also convicted for breaking quarantine rules in a trial yesterday.
The country has strict travel, testing & tracing rules in place.
Vietnam has been successful in keeping case numbers low at a time of rising global infections.
According to the World Health Organisation, 524,307 cases of the virus have been recorded in the country to date.
13,074 deaths have been notified.
Nearly 19 million Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered.
