460 people are waiting for beds in hospitals around the country today.
INMO figures show 327 are in emergency departments, while 133 are in wards.
University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected by overcrowding, with 104 patients on trolleys.
That's followed by 49 at Cork University Hospital, and 37 at the Mater Hospital in Dublin.
In Naas General, 14 patients are currently on trolleys.
