State figures show there were 13,531 people registered as homeless last month
Some 141 adults have been registered homeless in Kildare.
This shows a decrease in numbers from previous Department of Housing Figures, in which some 147 people in Kildare were registered homeless.
252 adults were registered homeless in Meath and 45 in Wicklow.
159 children were registered as homeless in the Mid-East, which includes Kildare, Meath and Wicklow.
There's a new record for the numbers of people living in emergency accommodation.
State figures show there were 13,531 people registered as homeless last month.
4,027 of them were children and 9,504 were adults.
It is a rise on December 2023 figures when there were 13,318 people in emergency accommodation.
Dublin has the highest proportion of those in emergency accommodation at 6,814 adults and 3,083 children.
