2 motorists in Kildare have been arrested on suspicion of drug driving offences.
Naas Roads Policing Unit, on a "proactive patrol", detected a motorist driving whilst holding mobile phone.
The driver subsequently failed a roadside drugs test for Cocaine & was arrested.
Fines and penalty points were issued for phone use, and a court appearance is to follow for drug driving.

On a separate operation in North Kildare, Naas RPU stopped a motorist who driving erratically.
Gardai detected a smell of cannabis coming from inside the car.
The driver then failed roadside drugs test and was arrested.
A court appearance is to follow.
