Figures obtained by Celbridge Politics' Treasa Keegan said they back up what the community already knows
Freedom of Information figures show a large majority of Kildare County Council's budget for the Celbridge-Leixlip municipal district is not being spent on the area.
Just €2.5m or 10% of its 26 million programme funding was allocated to the district in the past three years.
In comparison, 62% of Athy's budget was spent, Naas received 47% of its budget, while the Clane/Maynooth MD got 32%.
Kildare/Newbridge MD received just 28% of its budget allocation.
