It has called for clubs across the county to get involved.
Sporting Memories is intiative launched by the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, it's an International programme that's run all over the world.
Donal Murphy Operations Project Manager, the Alzheimer Society Of Ireland: "We are encouraging all local clubs to bring together people with alzheimer and dementia and provide a forum for them to talk about bygone sporting days.
"Quite simply, the Kildare County board could run a forum once a month, they may bring up a topic like 1998 All Ireland final.
"Perhaps Glenn Ryan could show up and talk about his experiences," he said.
Donal Murphy says it will bring back good and maybe bad memories, but insisted that it will bring joy into peoples lives.
"The big thing is that really we will be pushing this at the county boards, and the GAA.
"It's up to clubs to provide this support for their communities," he said.
"We've launched today with a handbook which is an ABC of what's involved, it's for people earlier in their journey of dementia," he added.
