Curragh Community College will be closed tomorrow after a no drinking water notice was issued for parts of Curragh Camp - compounding ongoing disruption already facing the school.
The closure follows confirmation that one of two water sources serving the camp has been compromised. While one source remains unaffected, Kfm News understands the impacted supply feeds water to the schools and the cookhouse.
The water system is tested weekly by military authorities. Filters are in place along the water lines, but it is not yet fully understood what areas or systems are affected at this stage.
As a result, school management says it has no option but to close the school on Friday, January 16th.
Teachers will post work online and remain available to students through timetabled MS Teams classes. The closure applies to all year groups.
The latest development comes against the backdrop of existing pressures at the school, where classrooms were already taken out of use due to building issues - adding to frustration among students and parents.
Images provided to Kfm News show the current state of some of the classrooms.

Parents are expected to be updated as further information becomes available.
