384 passengers land in Dublin overnight, more flights planned for Irish Travellers stranded in the Middle East amid on-going conflict.
Its hoped more Irish people stranded in the Middle East will be able to fly home in the days ahead.
384 passengers touched down at Dublin airport late last night on the first commercial flight from Dubai since the hostilities in Iran broke out last weekend.
Emirates airlines is hoping to run another service to Dublin tomorrow, while the first government repatriation flight is expected to take off from Oman on Friday.
Speaking on the Kildare Show this morning, Caoimhe Higgins from Allenwood, had been stranded in Oman due to her flight being diverted there. She explained about her ordeal in trying to get home:
