Burst Water Main in Celbridge And Leixlip Causing Disruption to Water Supply

Repairs to a burst water main may cause supply disruptions to Shinkeen Road, Celbridge, Leixlip and surrounding areas in the county.

Works are scheduled to take place until 10pm today Thursday 20 January.

Dedicated water service crews were mobilised this morning and have worked throughout the day to repair it.

Irish water has said whilst supply is starting to return to many properties, some customers located on higher ground or at the end of the network may continue to experience temporary low water pressure and /or outages as water refills the network.

Irish water recommends that the public allow 2-3 hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return.

A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works.
