He said the unit at the club includes mirrors and high-quality sunscreen and that sunscreen is often the first thing people ask for - especially when out on the water.
He said the dispensers are also popular during winter months.
Local Tidy Towns groups have also called for the dispensers to be rolled out across the county.
Meanwhile, The Irish Cancer Society has added to calls for local councils to introduce free sunscreen dispensers.
Kevin O'Hagan, Cancer Prevention Manager at the Irish Cancer Society, says more councils should get on board with the initiative.
