Nationally, Kildare is the second most expensive region outside of Dublin
The price of a home in Celbridge is now more expensive than in parts of the capital, according to latest CSO figures.
The median dwelling price in Celbridge is €484,999, making it one of the most expensive Eircode areas in Kildare.
Naas comes second, standing at a median price of €435,000.
Newbridge follows suit, at €440,000, with Kildare at €420,000.
To buy a home in the Curragh would cost €428,505, with Monasterevin costing €405,950.
Athy is listed as the cheapest Eircode area in Kildare, at €340,000.
Nationally, the median price of a dwelling purchased in the 12 months to December 2025 was €387,000.
The cost of buying a home in Dublin has now reached €500,000.
Outside of Dublin, the most expensive region over the last 12 months was Wicklow, with a median price of €454,000.
The second most expensive region was Kildare, which had a median price of €440,000.
The least expensive region over the last 12 months was Donegal, where the median price paid for a dwelling was €195,000.
CSO figures show the cost of buying a home nationwide in the year to December went up by 7 per cent.
That compares to a rate of 6 point 8 per cent in the year to November.
