Community Groups And Schools To Regain Limited Access To Curragh Swimming Pool

The pool, which is primarily used by the Defence Forces, will be made available to local community groups and schools for three days each week.

The Curragh Swimming Pool is set to partially reopen to civilian users, following the recruitment of additional staff.

The pool, which is primarily used by the Defence Forces, will be made available to local community groups and schools for three days each week.

Local representatives have been engaging with the Minister for Defence, departmental officials and the Defence Forces on the issue.

While welcoming the move as an important first step after years of restricted access, calls are still being made for a dedicated public swimming pool for the Newbridge-Kildare area.
