New figures from the Central Statistics Office show that Kildare continues to grow, with Naas recording 599 births in 2022 - the highest number outside Dublin.
On the other end of life, Newbridge saw the most deaths in the county, at 199, while Leixlip had the fewest, at 86.
The standardised death rate in Athy was the highest in Kildare, at nearly 640 deaths per 100,000 people, suggesting deeper health challenges in that area.
