182 fines were issued for littering
The number of fines issued by Kildare County Council for littering in 2023 doubled compared to 2022.
Figures obtained by Kfm show that 91 fines were issued in 2022 but that increased to 182 last year.
The Council says it is constantly working to address littering through the provision of comprehensive litter management services as well as other measures such as awareness and information campaigns, more bins etc.
There were no illegal dumping fines issued in 2023.
