Cannabis herb and cocaine were seized
As part of Operation TARA, Gardaí from the Laois Roads Policing Unit stopped a car on while on routine patrol on the R445 near Emo, County Laois on Tuesday.
Following a search of the car, cannabis herb worth €60,000 was seized along with a quantity of cocaine worth in excess of €5,000 and a small amount of ecstasy.
The occupants of the car, two individuals, both male and in their 20s, were arrested.
They were taken to a Garda Station in County Laois and are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 and can be detained for up to seven days.
