The assault took place on Grey Abbey Road.
Gardaí are appealing for information on an attack that took place on Grey Abbey road in Kildare Town.
The assault happened on Wednesday 4th May at 8pm.
The injured party was accompanied by a friend who was on crutches.
They were approached by three males, who asked if they had any cigarettes.
When they told the three males they had no cigarettes, one of the males proceeded to punch the injured party in the face.
The victim has sustained a black eye as a result of injury.
The three males then fled the scene on foot.
Gardaí are looking for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and might have seen something to come forward.
