Gardaí Seize 19 Petrol Bombs And Arrest Five In Major Kildare Operation

In a separate but related incident, Gardaí encountered a man in his late 40s armed with a knife while dealing with the situation.

In a significant operation aimed at disrupting organised criminal activity in Kildare, Gardaí arrested five individuals and seized several improvised explosive devices late Monday night.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. last night, Detective Gardaí from Leixlip Garda Station intercepted a vehicle in the Carbury area.

During a search of the car, Gardai discovered 19 petrol bombs.

Four adult males were taken into custody and are currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in County Kildare.

In a separate but related incident, Gardaí encountered a man in his late 40s armed with a knife while dealing with the situation.

The man appeared before Naas District Court this morning.
