50 year old Jeffrey Jackson from Cedar Park, Leixlip was stabbed to death at an apartment in the North Kildare town on Thursday afternoon.
A man in his 40s was arrested shortly after emergency services arrived on the scene.
According to the latest update, he remains in custody at a Garda Station here in the county.
