Horse Racing In Kildare Generates €557m To The Economy

With the Juddmonte Irish Oaks as the feature of an eight-race card at the Curragh this afternoon

The horse racing industry in Kildare provides a significant contribution to the Irish economy.

The industry generates €557 million in expenditure and providing 4,535 jobs locally.

County Kildare is home to three renowned racecourses at The Curragh, Punchestown and Naas which attract hundreds and thousands of people all year round.

Today, the Juddmonte Irish Oaks is the feature of an eight-race card at the Curragh this afternoon.

The big race is off at twenty-to-4, with an eight-race card commencing at 1.30.
