The owner disturbed the criminals while they were trying to break into her home
Gardaí are appealing for information following an attempted burglary in Monasterevin.
The incident happened on Wednesday 3rd May at 3.15pm near Coolnafergh.
The owner of the house returned home to find a car in her driveway.
The woman disturbed the criminals while they were trying get into her home.
She noticed one male in the car and two more beside it, another male ran from the house and all four men jumped into the car and drove off at speed before the owner could get a registration.
They made an escape in small silver hatchback type car and drove in the direction of Portarlington.
The culprits did not gain access to the house, but they did cause a little damage attempting to gain entry.
