Ireland To Sign Up To Major €150bn EU Defence Initiative

Tánaiste and Defence Minister Simon Harris is expected to announce the decision to join Security Action for Europe today.

Ireland is set to sign up to a 150 billion euro EU plan that aims to boost defence.

It will allow the government to secure military equipment faster and at a lower cost.
