James, also known as Jimmy, is the son of Robert and Sheelagh Goff – the owners of the 19th-century Ballinacor Estate in Rathdrum, Wicklow.
Investigations are continuing into the cause of a helicopter crash in the Swiss Alps in which an Irish man was killed.
James Goff - an heir to the Goffs' estate in Rathdrum in Wicklow - died when the chopper slid off a mountain-top helipad on Tuesday.
