It will mark the place where his parents met 60 years ago
Legendary former Smiths guitar player Johnny Marr is set to play in Athy's Dreamland Ballroom this summer, on June 25th.
Marr’s parents are from the town, and the venue was once one of Ireland’s hotspots for showbands.
The venue is now known as Athy Recreational Community Hall, but will return to its former name for the night.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning.
