It was asked to host an event skills sharing workshop for the Kildare Newbridge MD.
Kildare County Council says it has given "some consideration" to a conference of key festival organisers in the Kildare Newbridge Municipal District.
Fianna Fáil Cllr., Suzanne Doyle, has asked Kildare County Council whether " consideration has ever been given" to facilitating such an event.
She says it could "examine means of working collaboratively in achieving efficiencies, coordinating calendars and developing networks for shared learning".
KCC, at today's meeting of the MD, says "Before organising such a workshop, consideration needs to be given regarding the category of “key festival”. "
Once that's been achieved, organisation of a brainstorming evening can proceed.
