The incident occurred at Cedral St. Conleth’s Park, the first camogie fixture played at the redeveloped venue since it reopened last year.
The Kildare GAA County Board has been asked to explain why stadium lights were turned off before the presentation of the cup at the Ladies Senior Camogie Final in Newbridge over the weekend.
The incident occurred at Cedral St. Conleth’s Park, the first camogie fixture played at the redeveloped venue since it reopened last year.
Sinn Féin TD for South Kildare, Shónagh Ní Raghallaigh, has written to the County Board asking for clarification.
She said the only other women’s fixture held there, the LGFA Senior Final, ended in a similar way, while dozens of men’s games have taken place under full lights without issue.
Kfm has contacted Kildare LGFA, Kildare GAA, and Kildare County Council for comment.
