Gardai were on patrol when they stopped the motorist.
They were found not to be wearing a seatbelt and subsequently failed a roadside breath test.
They were detained and Garda say "Proceedings to follow."

In a separate operation, a large number of speed detections were made as par of Operation Lifesaver.
Naas Roads Policing Unit say a "number" of motorists were clock above the 80km/h limit on the relevant road, including one driving at 114 kilometres per hour.
Fines and penalty points have been issued.
