Derrinturn has just 5 Gardai, despite a number of high-profile incidents in the village recently
Locals in Derrinturn are calling for an increased Garda presence in the village.
Currently, the village has just 5 Gardai out of 432 countywide.
In contrast, ten years ago, when the population of Derrinturn was smaller, 8 Gardai were stationed there.
A rally is taking place outside the Garda station this coming Saturday at 2 o'clock.
Kfm recently visited Derrinturn to speak to a number of people about the issues in the area.
