The R448 at Halverstown is currently closed pending a technical examination.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision involving a jeep, which occurred on the R448 at Halverstown, Kilcullen on Saturday 13th January, at approximately 6.15pm.
The male driver of the jeep (40’s) was pronounced deceased at the scene.
His body was removed to the mortuary at Naas General Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place in due course.
The road is currently closed pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí in Naas are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this collision to contact them.
Any road users who were in the area on Saturday 13th January 2024 between 5.30pm and 7.30pm, and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
