Wright, a UK national living in Maynooth, is being sued in West Palm Beach by Florida-based TMCT, owned by Cherish Thompson.
Kildare businessman Paul Wright, accused of misusing client funds to hire private jets and purchase a house for his son, has asked a Florida court to dismiss a lawsuit against him, claiming it is the wrong jurisdiction.
Wright, a UK national living in Maynooth, is being sued in West Palm Beach by Florida-based firm TMCT, owned by Cherish Thompson.
The lawsuit, according to the Irish Independent, also targets his Dublin companies, Eterna Private Clients Europe and Wright Private Office.
In a filing, Wright’s lawyers argued the case should be dismissed as the court lacks jurisdiction and belongs, if anywhere, in an English court.
