A serious multi-vehicle collision took place on the bridge on the Athy Road earlier this morning.
Gardai, the Kildare Fire Service and ambulance crews attended the scene.
The crash caused significant northbound delays, and closed that bore for a time.
The route is now open, and delays are dissipating
