Naas Gardaí have detected a motorist speeding at 137kph on the N7.
The driver was stopped and subsequently tested positive for cannabis - arrested, and a fixed charge penalty notice was issued.

Earlier, Naas Roads Policing Unit detected a driver travelling at a speed of 123kph, in a 60kph zone in the county.
Court proceedings are to follow, where the driver may be fined up to €5,000 & or serve 6 months in prison.

The driver informed Garda that they were in a hurry to Court.
