At the beginning of December, Kildare people were in the top 3 counties, expected to spend the most during the festive season, according to a survey by Paypal.

Nearly 8 in 10 people cite money as the cause of stress during the Christmas period.

That's according to a new survey by Zenflore, which found 56 per cent of people feel more stressed during the holidays.

People are expected to spend an average of 1 thousand 170 euro during this Christmas period, up 14 per cent on last year, according to research from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
