New €53m Falcon 6X Joins Irish Air Corps Fleet

The Falcon 6X replaces the Learjet 45 and is expected to be operational in early 2026.

The Irish Air Corps has taken delivery of a new Dassault Falcon 6X strategic reach aircraft at a cost of €53 million excluding VAT.

The aircraft arrived at Casement Aerodrome and will be used for airlift, air-ambulance transfers, emergency evacuations and overseas Defence Forces support.

The Falcon 6X replaces the Learjet 45 and is expected to be operational in early 2026.

With a maximum range of over 5,000 nautical miles, it can comfortably reach destinations such as the Western Coast of the USA.

It  has a total capacity of 17 persons and a passenger capacity of 14.
