Cars and houses have been broken into in the past week
Gardaí in Newbridge are appealing for information following a string of burglaries that have taken place in the area in the past week.
On Wednesday last, between 1-2am a car that was parked in Ballymany Mews was entered and a number of items were taken.
A black wallet, a passport, driving licence, social services card along with other documents were reported to be taken.
The injured party noted that the car door was wide open, and suspects the culprit(s) were checking for unlocked cars in the area.
A similar incident took place last Thursday, between 2pm-4pm, where a car parked in the Grange estate had a number of items stolen.
Gardaí are urging people not to leave valuables in their cars.
There were a multiple of house burglaries that occurred in Newbridge in the past week.
In the first incident occurred on Sunday, between 12am-6am, in which a vacant house on Kilbelin Avenue was entered and ransacked.
The second incident took place on the same day in a vacant house on the Athgarvan Road.
Gardaí are unsure these two burglaries are connected, but have noted the houses are in the same general area and both incidents occurred within similar time frames.
