The system allows parents and guardians to apply for participating schools through a single online application process, rather than making seperate applications.
Families applying for first-year places at three Maynooth secondary schools can now use the Department of Education's expanded Apply to School online admissions system.
Maynooth Post Primary School, Maynooth Community College, and Gaelcholáiste Mhaigh Nuad have joined the pilot programme for the 2027/28 admissions cycle.
They join three Celbridge schools which took part in the original pilot last year, Salesian College, St Wolstan's Community School and Celbridge Community School.
The system allows parents and guardians to apply for participating schools through a single online application process, rather than making seperate applications.
Minister for Education and Youth, Hildegarde Naughton has said "I am delighted to see the launch of the expanded Apply to School pilot system and to see more families in Kildare benefiting from this innovative service."
A total of 22 post-primary schools nationally are involved in the expanded programme, which is expected to be used by around 2,600 families.
Applications opened on October 1st, with the deadline for submissions set for Thursday, October 22nd.
