As part of Operation Táirge and ongoing investigations into retail theft across the Eastern Region, Gardaí from Leixlip Garda Station have arrested a woman involved in a retail theft spree.
The woman in her 50s has been arrested and detained in connection with 11 alleged theft incidents spanning several towns, including Newbridge, Maynooth, Portlaoise, Athy, Kilkenny, Wexford.
The woman has since been charged and is expected to appear before a sitting of Naas District Court this morning.
Investigations are ongoing.
