Naas, Monasterevin, Athy, Kildare Town and Kilmeague are all to benefit.
Over €8 million in funding from the HSE for capital health projects in Kildare for 2023 has been announced.
The funding is as follows:
€2.86m is allocated to progress a new mental health unit at Naas Hospital to replace Lake view.
€1.44m to continue works in the Monasterevin Day Care Centre.
€1.4m to Naas General Hospital to complete the 12 bed isolation unit and free up space by decanting non clinical services from St.Mary’s.
€1.2m to progress renovation of a vacant ward to a day care centre at St Vincent’s Hospital Athy.
€500k towards a 10 bed high support community residence in Kildare Town.
And €300k for the renovation of Kilmeague Health Centre.
