Phone Use Behind The Wheel Soars As Gardaí Step Up Bank Holiday Checks

There will be a noticeable increase in checkpoints, speed vans and Gardaí on the roads between today and Tuesday.

There's been a 36 per cent increase in phone usage among drivers since 2022.

Gardaí and the RSA are reminding people of the risks of driving while distracted, with the launch of their latest bank holiday road safety campaign.
